      Now I'm fine with any candidate that has never served in the military. But I have a problem with one that was too scared to throw his hat in the ring with all the peasants.

He could have served too gone to Beirut, Panama etc... instead he lived a life no one seems to be able to get any solid facts on other than him being a pot head and all of a sudden going to the top schools in the country!     • @aa316 I think you're kind of missing the whole point of this, brother. The story isn't that Romney didn't volunteer to go to Vietnam. The story is that Mitt took a pretty pro-active role in ensuring that he wasn't selected for service. A luxury that most Americans at the time did not have.

      Look, I'm an eight year, two tour US Army veteran. I'm completely fine with electing a candidate with no military experience, Republican or Democrat. I mean, it's obviously a plus, but I'd hardly say it's ma More..

      So yea, he dodged it, same as everyone born after late december 1954.
