    • yep, that's what I was thinking. They seem to really care about not killing over there. In the US they would not even risk a police dog, instead a whole brigade of cops would unload their pistols all at once into him

    • it's actually a problem for ppl with mentally ill in the family, they may need to call the police to take their out-of-control family member to the hospital, and the police will come and use deadly force

    • Yeah, that happens everyday here in the USA. Get real buddy.

    • I am real. If a guy in the US comes on police swinging a hatchet, they will kill him. Try it yourself if you don't believe me.

A while ago a petite Vietnamese lady with some mental problems swung a vegetable peeler at poulice in California. The poulice shot and killed her, and explained it saying they thought it was a meat cleaver. And had it been a hatchet, they would not have even been asked to explain. Never-mind that it was a petite lady rather than a raging over-grown maniac.

  • Should had hit him with a beanbag round or rubber bullets. He could have cleaved that dog's skull. Then what? A few rubber bullets to the legs or a beanbag to the gut and he would have gone down.

    • People under the influence of certain drugs or in a psychotic state may be impervious to pain. The dog would target and immobilize the arm holding the weapon.

Even scrawny little guys that are in this agitated state may take four large officers to pin him down.

    • Yea, I'll buy that too. Just risky for the dog though.

  • Hatchet = deadly weapon. Bang! This guy should have had his head ventilated with a well placed .45 round.

    • Why take a life unless there is no other choice.

The speed, agility and power of an attacking 100lb. police dog is difficult to imagine. The nicer way to find out is to wear heavily padded gear and be part of their training.... and then there's the other way.

From that camera angle, the policeman with the sidearm appeared to be standing too close to the individual brandishing the weapon.

    • Because he could have hurt the dog.

  • A very "vigorous" baton strike as the dog got there...sounded like a big hit in the NFL!

  • He took a swing at the dog but must have missed as the dog kept on wagging it's tail

  • Repost. But its ok because I notice 3 things:

    1. At 0:03 the sniper missed
    2. Police actually ran away from man
    3. Dog saved the day and shamed the police

Note, the Chinese police would have done more effectively.

    • Sniper? No sniper shoot fired, it's most likely a warning shoot by one of the officers, yes they use warning shoots in Sweden...They're not only practicing head shoots ;)

  • It looked like a Belgian Malinois . Pound for pound the best working dog on Earth ( IMO ) .

    Posted Sep-16-2010 By

    • Yep, Belgian Malinois. Similar to the German Shepherd but much quicker off the mark. They`re on you so fast , you don`t have time to react.
