Lead vehicals in convoys usually have a transmitter/jammer mounted on the front of the vehical(Ever notice the thing that looks like a little OD green flag on the front of the vehicals?). The transmitter sends out in random order and at high speed, telephone numbers that might be used in cellphone detonators causing the IED to detonate early. Not exactly a perfect tool against IED's, various LL posts prove this but, every little bit helps!

Looks like Iraq to me as well.
Nope its an Afghan village this soldier had other videos where you could tell from the landscape(mountains) it was Afghanistan
