They should do this to some of the prisoners in the US instead of letting them live like their in a hotel with cable and weight rooms and basketball and their gangs... Not saying all prisoners should be treated this way, but the violent ones; the predator types.

There is a book called the English Prisoner, about a guy who got caught with a quarter of a spliff in his jeans pocket, and he said this was pretty much what it was like. They carted him off to the middle of Siberia to one of the "zones" and would barge into his cell, beat the fuck out of him and then trash the place and leave. All sorts went on unless you could pay them.

These are consequences of prison riot and attempt of hostage taking or escape. You see special anti-riot prison guards squad. Notice prisoners tattoos, most of them are professional criminals so called "thiefs in law".

Someone was obviously violating the prison rules and was probably selling something to the prisoners and so they are trying to get the prisoners to spill the beans. thats why they are also searching the bunks for what they are looking for.
but hell, you commit the crime, you do the time.
