Old/molting. Birds are awesome. They live a very long time if they aren't killed and they get old just like humans do. It's delivered many a baby, now time to retire and let humans feed it.

@HeyMaker77 Birds are simple and easy to get along with. We coexist peacefully with every single species of avian(save a few less intelligent and aggressive ones, same as with humans)... They are highly intelligent overall, and specific birds such as crows, ravens, many parrots, and raptors are fighting for spots in the top twenty species on Earth when it comes to IQ.

Reminds me of Kiplings short story "The Undertakers". One of my all-time-favorit short stories, as most in the Jungle Books.
I agree with those calling this beast ugly. To those writing of "bringing the babies": Read that short story, it' free in the Gutenberg Project. Besides a very entertaining and amusing lecture you will some impressions of what that ugly bastard is able to do with his huge ugly bill what kind of luggage he uses to collect in his craw now and then.
