Coward?
Sticking your neck on the line to plant an explosive device fully knowing that you could be shot at by a sniper or blasted off the face of the earth by a drone or apache without even knowing of its impending strike, targted by the most powerful and most advanced states on earth is cowardly?
Compared to what, sitting in a shed halfway across the world pressing buttons and watching people on television screens dying? Cowards, look closer to home.

Explosions don't discriminate either, no matter their source, once a bomb is dropped it destroys anything within its radius including innocent people this has been proven time and time again, there is no such thing as a smart bomb, a bomb is a bomb it kills and that's all it's designed to do, and if it explodes near innocent people it will not simply stop exploding because they are within its radius.
The taliban are not a standing army they are militias formed from native tribesmen More..

In case you missed it, this is Syria, not Afghanistan.
Interestingly Syrian IEDs are usually quite distinctive with mostly white smoke. I guess from the Calcium Nitrate they use.

It's easy to call someone a coward because they are not fighting by your rules. If all I had were a few ak's and an aging russian mortar I think taking out millions of dollars worth of materiel with a couple hundred dollars is a ballsy win.
Credit to the American military,in some cases, for adapting to the various situations instead of doggedly just trying to push through with failing tactics.

If I could be bothered I'd dredge up the various posts of yours that ask for translations from Arabic.
My connection to Syria? I visited there in my youth - Damascus, Aleppo, Palmyra, and many more places. Plus my Missus was offered exchange work there only recently.
Overall I support a secular Socialist Government over a radical Islamist rabble any day.
