look i hate to point this out, but rounds exit barrles because of a controlled explosion,
an explosion causes heat,
now the electronic firing just takes away from the trigger and you can only fire as many rounds up the "melstrom barreles" as are pre loaded,
so if the barrel has 20 rounds pre loaded and has 100 barrels per weapon you have 2000 rounds to fire in a ver very short time.
but this will not stop a barrel over heating when you get 2000 rounds up the same barrel.

they couldnt sustain such a rate of fire through the same barrel for longer than 3000 rounds as this would cause barrel to glow and possibly melt
thats why the GPMG when in the SF role has to have a barrel change to allow them to cool down.
but lovely weapon, thats a god damn muslim killing machine if ever i saw one

Herstal is a Belgium Winchester/Browning affiliate I believe. Barrel has got to be some crazy high tech composite. It would be sooo terryfying to have that many BMG rounds coming at you. You couldn't hide behind anything, it would drill through instantly.

Well they fired for only 35 seconds, and Im sure the barrel is some sort of composite material. Mini guns also have an extremely high rate of fire, so I dont know if thats comprable.
