03 Dec 2004 — In front of 30 milliion viewers an elaborate but brilliant hoax makes Dow and the BBC look very, very bad indeed.
One of "The Yes Men" impersonates a Dow chemical spokesman and admits liability and promises compensation for the hundreds of thousands of victims. Subsequent to the hoax being discovered Dows shares drop $2bn and The Yes Men explain that they were attempting to highlight that no cleanup has taken place, the compensation paid is pitiful and Dow, who now own Union Carbide have done everything they can to avoid any responsibility whatsoever for the Bhopal disaster.

May I recommend "The Yes Men Fix The World" which is a very cool documentary that they made in 2009.
