Aired from 1970 to 1975, 5 seasons 112 episodes with a 1993 TV movie "The Odd Couple: Together again". Based on the play of the same name written by famed playwright Neil Simon. I guess that I should mention somewhere here that in the original play the characters were played by Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon, a great comedy duo.

There was also a 1975-77 cartoon spinoff called The Oddball Couple, with a cat and a dog named Spiffy and Fleabag. It was made by the same animation company that made the Pink Panther cartoons. I'm almost sure Friz Freeling and David DePatatie were the producers but don't quote me on that.

A remake called "The New Odd Couple" ran in 1982 with Ron Glass (From Barney miller and Firefly) and Demond Wilson (From Sanford and Son) but it only lasted a half a season. I don't have that intro but I'm always keeping my eyes open.

Many TV shows have dedicate an episode or at least parody to The Odd couple, too many to list. One comes to mind just as an example, in Futurama when Fry and bender move in together they redecorate the apartment set to the theme of The Odd Couple. This type of parody involving two roommates at odds is quite common and is always played in homage to this classic show.

VD PSA FTW! lol
