Raw Video: Perv Teacher Flies Down Embankment During Chase
Los Angeles Police say a suspect who was wanted for a lewd act with a minor, was stopped in Lakewood by Bell police Tuesday. According the the California Highway Patrol the suspect told officers he wanted to kill himself and took off.
The chase stopped briefly in Torrance when an officer successfully performed the PIT maneuver on the suspect's truck. The truck was spun around and forced into the side of a big rig with such force, it shook the big rig's trailer.
The pickup truck's cab was wedged into the big rig's trailer for a moment before the suspect pulled back out and continued to flee from pursuing officers.
The chase ended a short time later when the suspect's truck went airborne and hit a building.

I cannot believe they attempted a pit in a busy two way street like that. That was stupid and reckless and someone needs to be scolded.

@GiygasFetus Not to mention it was a really, really poorly executed PIT. The cop straight-up missed the first time, spooking the suspect into going faster. The it looks like the cop is actually pushing the suspect for a bit. If all that wasn't bad enough, when the cop actually DOES manage to PIT the guy, he crashes the cop into a tree, knocking it over, and manages to PIT the truck into an innocent driver's vehicle. Just stupid all the way around.

Yes, let's risk everyone's lives to arrest a teacher wanted for lewd conduct with a minor. This just goes to show how massively stupid cops are. That PIT maneuver was absolutely insane. If the perp hits my car do I get to punch the cop in the head?
