  • lol he paid the right amount of money but the cameraman is gesturing that more would've been better. This is just some of the complexities of afghan culture that westerners don't get. This guy is probably supporting his family with that box so you can see why he might be frustrated a bit. Good post.

    • @Jaish_Islami_Askar Yes, he was killed by AQ with fake journalists. The guy on your avatar is a known bad guy, his group killed 10 aid workers in Afghanistan, doctors, dentists and a optometrist. He is a coward and an ineffective leader, thats why he was dropped by the ISI because his men couldn't take Kabul from a "french communist". lol

  • The cameraman didn't ask for a set price, he relies on "taroof", unusual compulsatory hospitality in which they "please" the guest/customer and they in term do the same. After the "taroof" he is obviously upset that his guest/customer was a bum. Good video about daily life and traditions of Afghanistan.

  • I find it funny the poster wrote 'brink of disappearing'. VHS videos are in the brink of disappearing... but there are just newer better ways to enjoy videos. Same for the camera.

    • @tat2d please tell me you aren't serious.... look up "first photographic cameras" on google.

This is the first type of camera, that's why it is so shit quality in the end

    • @qwerty4242 No, What I was being facetious was and meant was, the article made it sound like the idea and invention came from Afghanistan.
It didnt. The very first photograph came from Joseph Nic├ęphore Ni├ępce. from France.
It just struck me funny because this post just seemed to somewhat deceive as to where the idea came from, by Afghan this, Afghan that.
      Thats all.

  • Not really surprised this is disappearing. Walking around Afghanistan with this kit on your shoulder would warrant a US airstrike.
    I miss my Olympus Trip.
