His entire point is based on the false and confusing assumption that saying things like "y'know" is meant to question your own statement rather than the listeners understanding.
When I say "blah blah, y'know?" I'm not asking if I'm correct, I'm asking whether you understand.
The guy seems like a shitty public school english teacher venting his anger in a misguided fashion, but he is confident.
