Being a woman, or a mother does not call for alternative measures under the law. Use of force is only determined based on the amount of resistance(verbal non-compliance, defensive resistance, aggressive resistance, deadly force assault). Resisting arrest is not civil disobedience. Unfortunately with these "knee jerk" videos, the full story is not available. What was the offense? Was there danger to the child? She clearly resisted being placed in the car. Was the cop just fed up with her? Did she bite or spit at him? Taking an uncooperative suspect to the ground is not a crime. Was she in fact unconcious? Too many questions.

Was thinking the same thing. We don't know what the lady did prior to this or if she was in fact biting the officer. If she was putting up that much resistence, than likely she would be willing to bite him. I can't take sides due to the question of what happened before the camera was rolling, and also because it was unclear if she was biting or not.
