Divide this; 5000 dead american soldiers divided with total 140000 american soldier in Irak,, it is total 3.5% of americas troops died over there in Irak. Take americas total poulation is about 280000000x3.5% = 9800000 OVER 9 million dead in car accidents a year in america.

These vehicle graveyards were everywhere. I saw one in TQ that was 4 miles long three vehicles tall and 4 columns. What you have to remember is most soldiers survived the attack because their vehicle did not. At the high point of the war, ied's were going off 300 times a day country-wide but casualties were only 10-20 a month. That is an increasely high survival rate. Most of these vehicles did their job; they saved soldiers.
