Changing Course of Diplomacy: Foreign Policy of Iran - 18
-COL DR.ABDUL RUFF
-----------------------
Anti-Islamic nations led by USA-UK terror twins have been struggling hard to defame Iran and get the incumbent president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad removed at any cost. However, all their efforts since the presidential poll in 2009 when Ahmadinejad was reelected to office by creating confusion and misusing the miscreant opposition leaders, have badly failed.
In Iran, the supreme leader is really supreme and his decisions are binding on all politicians, including President. Ahmadinejad's influence has been waning since he fell out of favor with the supreme leader last year, but he remains the most popular leader of Iran. .
Recently the an opponent of president the supreme leader Ahmadinejad as speaker of parliament for second term, giving the US-UK critics of Ahmadinejad to speculate about the eventual exit of their arch critic Ahmadinejad as speaker.
Iran's parliament has re-elected a conservative critic of President Ahmadinejad as speaker. Ali Larijani will serve for another year after beating Gholam Ali Haddad Adel by 177 votes to 89 in the Majlis. Both are close to the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, but Haddad Adel wanted a less confrontational approach with the president. Conservative opponents of Ahmadinejad won a majority in the recent parliamentary elections.
Now the west wants presidential term limit in Iran. Iran's parliament lacks executive power but plays a part in choosing next year's presidential contenders. Term limits mean that Ahmadinejad must step down in 2013.
Unlike the western terrocracies, where the president has the veto and can easily escape punitive measures by the parliament or supreme courts, Iranian parliament has the right to summon the president for questioning. In March, he became the first president since the 1979 Islamic Revolution to be summoned by parliament to answer questions. Ahmadinejad was asked to explain his justification for his 11-day absence from government meetings in April 2011 after the supreme leader reinstated the intelligence minister, who had just been sacked by the president.
The supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei seems to be taking care not to irritate imperialist western rogues who control entire world and its resources, intelligences, polices and militaries, and has also restrained president Ahmadinejad who is now busy with taking care of people’s’ welfare measures. Hence, his own critic Ali Larijani becoming the speaker of parliament does not worry him the least.
This explains why Ahmadinejad does not make the usual stunning remarks about western leaders having a common anti-humanity agenda.
Humanity should beware of wild bests in democracy suits!
That is good for Iran!
