What the h*ll happened to the UK that produced Churchill, Thatcher, Wellington and Nelson?



Commonwealth soldiers recruited into the British Armed Forces are
eligible for British citizenship after 4 years of service. But
increasingly, more are being denied. Veterans groups claim they are
seeing "dozens of new cases each month," and unable to work or receive
benefits, that they and their families are forced to rely on charity in
order to live.



Take Lance Corporal Bale Baleiwai, a Fijian, who served in the British
Army for 13 years. He had several operational tours in Afghanistan,
Iraq, Bosnia and Northern Ireland, earned 4 medals, several
commendations from his commanding officers, and was asked to pose for
recruiting posters. LCpl Baleiwai has a British wife and British-born
children, but he has been refused citizenship, banned from working, and
faces imminent deportation - all because he once got into a fistfight
with another soldier.



Meanwhile, the UK Home Office has accepted the claims of hundreds of
foreign criminals, stating that deporting them would "breach their human
rights." Included in these figures are AT LEAST four terrorists, 8
pedophiles, 9 murderers, 20 robbers, 4 convicted of firearms offenses
and at least 8 rapists - in 2011 alone. 2010, 2009 and 2008 reported
similar figures, and as of 2012 the Home Office admits that of 1,888
overseas offenders, 409 were allowed to stay - 185 because they had a
right to a "family life" in Britain under Article 8 of the European
Convention on Human Rights.
