On Thursday, the Syrian forces also arrested about 100 armed men near the capital, Damascus.
Many insurgents were killed during clashes with the Syrian troops in Aleppo’s Maysaloon district on Wednesday. The Syrian army also seized large amounts of weapons and ammunition, including Israel-made bombs.
The army has launched a mop-up operation against the insurgents in Aleppo since August 8. Scores of terrorists have been killed in the operation so far.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011.
Damascus says that the chaos is being orchestrated from outside the country, and there are reports that a very large number of the insurgents are foreign nationals.
Also on Thursday, the foreign-sponsored insurgents downed a Syrian military helicopter in the town of Douma, east of Damascus, and killed the crew of the helicopter in an execution-style shooting.

In case you didn't know, in the religion of Islam muslims help other muslims if they are being attacked. This includes migrating. Foreign fighters always play a big role in islamic uprisings because it is obligatory for them.

@Rayyaan And really though...how 'foreign' are they. Chances are most are arabs also. Most european countries are of people of roughly the same genetic stock and language. In the mideast you have people who are roughly the same ethnicity, same language, same religion, yet split into different silly countries...and people act like that is normal and to be expected..and when you believe it makes sense they live under one state people act like you are crazy or a terrorist supporter.

Why the Syrian regime is playing this propaganda at this very moment?
Well Taliban just attack the biggest American base in Afghanistan where they destroy 6 fighter jets plus two other jet were damaged and now more news are coming on damaged helicopter, fuel station etc. Its a huge attack by the " Afghan terrorists"
