Riad Farid Hijab, the Syrian prime minister, has announced through his spokesman that he is joining the opposition, after state television reported that he was sacked this morning.
Two months after being appointed as Syria's prime minister, ex-agriculture minister defects with his family to Jordan.
The former prime minister arrived in Jordan after being smuggled across the border, Jordanian authorities said.
Heading to Qatar
He cautioned, however, that the Syrian government was likely to "react haphazardly, in a hysterical manner. It will perpetrate more killings [and] any official willing to defect must act wisely. He must take care of himself and his family".

Interesting, he was the prime minister now for two month and his spokesman says they planned the escape with the help of the FSA for two month too....
That means he was a supporter of the FSA if he became prime minister and maybe earlier...
Just waited for the greatest show-effect...

Just as Aleppo is about to fall, some double agent gives the western media fodder to deceive.

How did agriculture prepare him for the job? He was an insignificant figurehead. He is an egotistical prick.

@Snaikey ..they are both pricks but the worst are the cowardly Syrians living abroad and not doing something to help ... besides making crude comments on LiveLeak.
