Woman Stabs Neighbor To Death After Being Asked To Turn Down Loud Music

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - A Schenectady woman has been arrested and charged with manslaughter after police say she stabbed her neighbor to death Monday night.

27-year-old Tina Karuzas, of 201 Elm Street, is facing charges of first-degree manslaughter with intent to cause physical injury by a judge Tuesday morning.

Police say the incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. between Karuzas and the victim, 26-year-old Latoya Ebron, who lived in another apartment in the Elm Street home.

Police say Karuzas, who lived on the second floor, and Ebron, who lived on the first floor, were arguing at the homeover Karuzas playing loud music. The victim allegedly asked Karuzas to
turn down her music because she was trying to put her kids to bed, and
when the music did not lower the intensity of the fight started to escalate and resulted in the stabbing.
