A LATVIAN mum of ten who rakes in a £34,000 in UK benefits last night demanded
a bigger home.

Single mother Linda Kozlovska, 31, moved to Britain in 2008 with three of her
kids, but since then the numbers have swelled.


Now she says her three-bedroom terraced home isn’t big enough for her family.
The self-employed cleaner, who is on the council housing waiting list, pays
£100 a week rent to a private landlord. But the property is maintained for
her by the council in Boston, Lincolnshire.

Linda said: “I have ten children living here with me. I’m the only adult. I am
on the council waiting list, but we’re still here. They don’t have a big
enough house. I want a bigger house. I don’t like it here. When we moved in
it had bed bugs.”











Linda’s kids share the bedrooms and a mattress has been placed in the living
room to create more sleeping space. She said: “I came to England to live —
because we are from Latvia in the EU I could just come.



“I have working tax credits, child tax credits and child benefits. Per week I
get a total of £527 child tax credit and working tax credit. I get £127
child benefit.”



Her yearly benefits tally of £34,000 would dwarf a newly-qualified nurse’s
salary of £21,000. Benefits on offer in Britain are huge compared to those
in Latvia, where Linda would receive just £9.26 per child each month.


Latvian couples can claim up to £1,865 per baby. But once the youngsters reach
18 months, the benefits payments fall. Linda’s clan is made up of Russandra,
16, Liene, 13, Julian, 12, Sandija, 11, Marko, ten, Janis, eight, Diana,
seven, Rolands, four, and twins Edvard and Alan, three. Her three youngest
were born in Britain with the others gradually joining her from Latvia.


Linda refused to say how many men fathered the kids. Last night the owner of
the property said the council was helping to maintain it while Linda waited
for a bigger home.
