Bread with Wine
Today's video recipe is bread with wine. We used to make this after working on the farm all day. It was easy to make and only took a minute or two. We used our own homemade wine back in Orsara and fresh made bread.

A couple of tips:
1) Leave out the bread.
2) Use a beer mug instead of a bowl.

@pachaKamaq OK on leaving out the bread. Wonder if Canadian whiskey and water could be used in place of wine?

I wouldn't exactly call this a recipe.
Hey look, here's some lemonade and crackers. I'm gonna put them in a bowl

Italian cereal. Anybody know what dialect that was? Sicilian?

@Enod It's Orsarese. Dialect from his city; Orsara di Puglia.

Thanks. Couldn't make heads or tails out of what he was saying even with the English translation.

this is why italian food is so bomb. Simple, good, and straight from the peasants.

Nice recipe. French peasants used to do it too.
If you you don't like wine or don't drink alcohol, you can mix bread with cool milk. Very refreshing and delicious. Even better if milk and bread are really tasty (not from the supermarket, that is).

yes, Italians do eat junk. I always see them picking dandelions at the side of the road and bargaining for the cheapest (nasty rotten) tomatoes at the market.

@85cmorning Youre a dumb prick. they take the soft ones because it breaks down in the sauce better. No one eats rotten tomatoes, but that doesnt mean they nitpick about little bullshit things like bruises and tears

@Adirondack13 hey man, I lived with an Italian family for 2 years, and I lived in a mostly Italian town for 10 years. I'm not just talking out my ass here, I've seen it happen. my old landlady was always trying to give me her 'food'
and no, they're not rotten, but not exactly fresh either. the only Italian food I really like is made by Chef Boyardee.
