After the USSR had disappeared hundreds of thousands of ethnic Russians wer brutally murdered in the former Soviet republics or totally supressed.

I've been in Russia / FSU since 1994. I know about as many such instance and worked in Chechnya during the second campaign. 10 years ago there wasn't a nationalistic / neo nazi movement like there is now.
10 years ago, I never faced racism, today in Russia it's more and more prevalent.
While it might be easy to say there is an underlying cause such as discrimination, it seems the people doing most everything are running around with swastikas and normally attacking asian veggie vendors, stude More..
