Evidently, this is an ancient hunting tradition. These golden eagles are trained to disable wolves by grabbing their snouts. I'm not sure if the eagles actually kill the wolves on their own, or just hold the wolf until the hunter can slit its throat.
The second video shows the golden eagle's goat-hunting strategy. The golden eagle swoops in on goats close to the cliff edge, grabs them with their talons, and flings them off the side of cliffs.
