China has been beating up Vietnam for thousands of years and one more boat doesn't make any difference. Btw Vietnam has got used to being beaten by China. They have never been obedient to China's authorities and will never be so. But at the same time they have been learning and copying from China pretty quick. Actually China and Vietnam were not that much separated like two countries today. Nan Yue stae att that time covered areas from Guangdong and Fujian to today's North Vietnam, established by people from the North (central China) and local tribemen. The Vietnamese history is blended in the Chinese history.
