Three US-led troopers serving with the
International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) have been killed in a roadside
bomb attack in eastern Afghanistan.



"Three
International Security Assistance Force service members died following an
improvised explosive device attack in eastern Afghanistan today," ISAF
said in a Monday statement

The alliance force
did not reveal the exact location of the attack or the nationalities of the
soldiers.

Seven people, including a senior police
official, have been killed in separate violent attacks in south and
southwestern Pakistan .



Officials said
gunmen riding on a motorcycle opened fire on Shah Nawaz Khan, the deputy head
of Crimes Investigation Department, on Tuesday outside his house in Quetta, the
capital of Balochistan province.



The attackers
managed to escape from the scene. Police have launched an investigation into
the attack.
