@FlREF0X Yes, unfortunately, I agree with you here, the US has been going steadily downhill in terms of freedoms and number of laws (everything is criminalized), civil forfeiture (note, not criminal, http://www.forbes.com/2011/06/08/property-civil-forfeiture.html), incarceration rate, Patriot Act, NDAA, Guantanamo and huge debt. It's ranked 46th now in civil liberties by Economist Intelligence Unit's Democracy Index. It is a true gestapo nowadays, unfortunately.

I always laugh when someone starts talking to me about soviet union, dictators and how no one had freedom over there.
Well as a 15 years old kid, i was jumping of roofs, swimming in public fountains, finishing and hunting without any stupid licenses.... made camp fires everywhere including city parks, drank and smoked on the trains and no one ever arrested me or even said anything. Everything was legal! If that is not freedom i don't know what is.
