A Pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on Mountain road and Birchmount around 11:20 AM this morning. Moncton Fire and Ambulance were on scene along with many Codiac RCMP members. 3 of the 4 lanes of Mountain road was blocked off so Paramedics could help the injured woman. Police were taking statements from witnesses.The woman in her 50’s was transported to hospital by ambulance with leg and arm injury. Mountain road was tied up for about a half hour. Road conditions were wet but not slippery at the time of the accident. This intersection has been the scene of many pedestrian vehicle accidents in the past.
