The brother of a man whose body was found inside his Brisbane apartment this morning has told his killer they should "leave town".
The body of Paul Peter Sullivan, 45, was found inside his Moorooka apartment at around 1am this morning after family members visited his home.
Mr Sullivan's family had not heard from him for days so decided to pay him a visit when they saw blood through one of the windows.
They then called police and helped them bash the door down.
His brother, Dennis Puime, believes the killer hit Mr Sullivan in the back of his head and has issued a warning to whoever carried out the murder.
"Whoever it is out there that's responsible… You want to leave town," he told TODAY.
"He has six brothers and you're gone."
Mr Puime said his brother had no enemies and was the type of man who would give up the shirt off his back for someone in need.
Mr Sullivan had two sons, aged 17 and 20.
A number of residents from the apartment block went to the police station this morning to help investigators with their enquiries.
