  • The ruling class Sunni's have oppressed the Shiites for a long time in Bahrain. The country as a whole is very rich, but this is concentrated with the Sunni's and the Shiites are treated as second class citizens, if that. Shiites outnumber the Sunnis by 60/40. Although the status quo in Bahrain is favorable to the US and Saudi Arabia, Iran is fomenting revolt as it is in their favor to do so. If the Shiites win out, you will see the US Fifth Fleet quickly booted out and probably a Shiite upr More..

    • exactly, thats why their military is having no qualms opening fire on protesting crowds. their revolution is doomed to failure.

    • I don't see the Saudis letting this place go all pro-Iran and shit.

    • I dont think anyone, except Iran, wants to see Bahrain be pro-Iran, but I believe the Saudis hands are tied, as are those of all muslim/arab nations right now. They have to worry about the same thing happening in their country, they dont have the ability to focus outside their borders right now. Additionally, the coast of SA off of Bahrain is predominantly Shiite; if the Saudis help in putting down the Shiite revolt in Bahrain, their own oil fields may be next to come under seige. The Saudis More..

Something that picks a username SSstormtrooper that is anti-muslim and supports zionist allies. 'Red army' as a username would be more fitting.

    • Goes to show that the people who are rioting are not the representative of Bahrani people. Most likely political activists ,commies, secular progressives ,who are trying to take down a country for their own ill gotten gains.
