DETROIT -- A school bus driver was arrested after trying to pick up a prostitute with children on board the vehicle, according to police.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Department says it was Wednesday morning. The driver had one special-needs child on the bus when he pulled over and propositioned who he thought was a prostitute, but was actually an undercover officer.

He told her that he would come back, and did so after picking up more kids.

That is when officers stepped in and took the driver into custody.

The officers then took the kids to school and notified the children's parents.
