Meet the Eurostar! A High Speed Train Service that leaves St. Pancras Train Station in London, and connects directly with Paris or Brussels, thanks to the EuroTunnel.

On the 21/12/2009, a severe snow storm in both the UK and Europe grounded the entire train service to a halt. This left some 50,000 people stranded in London, unable to get home for Christmas!!

There was some hope on the 23/12/2009, however, when the Eurostar offered a "limited" train service. Several thousand people descended upon St. Pancras Station in the vague hope of getting on a train.

This video shows only part of the queue, and was filmed at 0700 hrs on the 23/12/2009. This was when the station had just opened for the day. The queue was so long, it had already snaked around the entire station several times!

I just hope some of those poor souls made it home for Christmas!!!!
