A licensed massage therapist was arrested Wednesday and charged with committing lewd acts on a 14-year-old girl he was treating for a skin condition inside his notary business in Haines City, police said.

Xavier David Perez, 65, of 207 W. Ninth St. in Frostproof, was charged with four counts of committing lewd and lascivious acts upon a child less than 16 years of age, according to reports. He was held at the Polk County Jail on Thursday without bond.

Haines City police received a complaint from the girl's mother Saturday about Perez's actions while treating her daughter at his business, Ideal Notary Inc. at 705 E. Hinson Ave.

The girl told police that Perez blindfolded her and performed lewd acts on her, saying he needed to do that type of treatment to correct her skin condition, a report said.

Perez's business was searched by Haines City detectives, who recovered numerous sex toys and condoms from inside the business, police said.
