Listen up, I'm sure you Canadians are just falling over each other to parade this as a "civilized" contrast to the Times Square take down, but let me tell you, if that sword had been unsheathed and he was waving it in the cop's faces and yelling "shoot me," they'd shoot him, just like any other armed cop in the world would. One is running away from the cops, with the back towards them.

Good job! Props to those Canadian cops!
Far too many on the NYPD are worthless turds, although the special units like the ESU (Emergency Service Unit) are excellent, top notch officers. As far as this weekend's shooting in Manhattan of the knife-wielding suspect, good riddance to a career criminal. He has finally been rehabilitated of his criminal ways.
