I always give respect to the Brits or anyone else with the guts to fight on in Afghanistan and not put forth minimal effort. It's their obligation under the NATO to engage the 'common' enemy.
However, I certainly wouldn't call the Brits "our friends." Friends don't piss all over you every chance they get.
