If you interpret the graph correctly, the US began to be way more lenient in granting gun license since the 90. There are way a lot more gun now than ever before. AND the graph shows crime goes down way down. More guns, less crime.

Very good observation. According to gunpolicy.org there are 270 million guns in civilian ownership in the USA. That works out to be 88 guns per 100 people. No wonder assault rates are plummeting eh?
Legal gun ownership is the single biggest crime deterrent. More cops nope, more jails nope, Chuck Testa...nope, responsible gun ownership yep.

America has excuses: guns, black unemployment, Mexican illegals, drugs, etc. Maybe we should stop talking about excuses and start looking of solutions. American ingenuity is legendary - use it on these problems. Gun purchase investigation, jobs for youth, a different kind of border control, drug law changes, etc.
