This is just ****ed up. The stupid idiots "officers" dont even understand that thoose beatings will not make them better soldiers. Russia should seriusly consider looking at US army which have the best soldiers in the world. Where no such beatings ever have taking place.

Im a Swedish Army ranger, and sure my education was very hard, cold and walk miles after miles in swamps. But they never beat us. That would NOT make us better in anycase.

It is not paratroops(desant). It is special force brigade of Inside Forces of Ministery Internal Affairs (%u0412%u0412 %u041C%u0412%u0414 %u0420%u0424-VV MVD RF), town of Sofrino not far from Moscow. The part of this brigade always bases in Chechny. Several hundred officers and soldiers parished there. One of the most well-known military detachements in Russia. This movie is about 10 years old

The thing is, the point to all of this is that when they are in combat, they can look inside and know that they've experienced worse.
