2009 YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK EARTHQUAKE AND SUPER VOLCANO ALERT

2009 State of Emergency for Yellowstone National Park has had over 500 earthquakes in the last five days of 2008. Chris Sanders the President of The Gas Company who is also a geologist has been tracking the possible eruption of this super volcano for the last few months. Now January 1, 2009 Chris is advising that all people visiting and volunteering at Yellowstone National Park leave immediately. "I would rather be wrong than right on this one since it once ended life and should annihilate a radius over 300 square miles minimum when it goes off. Plus all of our technology in place is showing magma moving towards the surface causing movement and earthquakes everywhere" More information can be learned at http://www.usgs.gov or at

  • This guy had to mention 2012. It really affects his credibility as a "geologist." I'd like to see his degree.

    • Chris Sanders has a degree alright and knows what he is taking about whether you care to agree with him or not. So do you mind go checking the data before you have anything more to say?

    • Noone is saying that you can, in fact Im 100% sure there is nothing anyone can do to stop it, but do you think that people have a right to know?

    • He was refering to the next solar polar shift, not Planet X, unless I missed something.

    • I agree, three years ago here in the USA they had many programs all over the TV about the YS caldera and how it risen over 39 inches since the last survey. We all said that SUCKS, now give me a beer.

    • Wrong, go check your facts, calderas (supervolcanos) explode without warning and without any major secretion of gases & lava. Monitoring seismic activity is the best way.

    • And do you have any idea on the size of the magma dome that is under Yellowstone National Park and building up pressure?

  • He is pretty funny, here is another group that has almost an 80% success rate in predicting quakes (general area) and general time frame (2-3 days) the postings by JOB are the real ones, the rest are contact with aliens.

  • That is one annoying jackass.
That has happened 26 times in the park's 127 years of record-keeping. The USGS discounted chances for cataclysmic eruption of the caldera, noting that the hot, active magma chamber below Yellowstone has turned into "largely crystallized mush." But the same study also said: "Depending on the nature and magnitude of a particular hazardous event and the particular time and season when it might occur, 70,000 to more than 100,000 persons could be affected More..

    • I think he has genuine reason for concern if you look at the latest reports, and you should wonder if officials are being honest and not downplaying this threat

Also see this forum thread here on Liveleak where there is a discussion going on about other seismic activity going on around the Pacific Ring of Fire over the past couple of weeks.

  • I looked up the site and there are thousands of earthquakes a year here and also it is not uncommon to close different areas at different times, Also I found no its about to blow posts on the gov. site. The on ein Indonesia also has thousands of quakes a year but is considered inactive. Also at Yellowstone the earth has always shited to different heights this is nothing new and is no sign of impending blow.

    • There is no doubt that there are thousands of significant earthquakes a year WORLDWIDE.

hat is going on right now is a lot of earthquake swarms and its not just happening in Yellowstone, its also been going off its nut in the past 24 hours around Indonesia, New Guinea, Phillipines, and the Santa Cruz Islands. I have not seen that area so active with earthquake swarms since the December 2004 Earthquakes that triggered the 2004 Tsunami.

Another Caldera, the Koryakski (Klyuchevskaya) Volcano in More..

    • Actualluy yes To have so many in a short period of time is somewhat unusual but it still does not predict an eruption. If it does erupt it doesnt neccessarily mean full force it could be steam. Something to watch for certain, although not a reason to abandon the area.
