And the double standards continue. If this were a man, he'd get a lot more time in prison, not jail. But, this is a woman, and they always get slapped on the wrist.

A Santa Barbara County judge sentences a former Santa Maria elementary school principal to one year in county jail and five years probation for a sexual relationship with a minor.
32-year-old Brookann Collier, who was the principal of Tunnell Elementary School, will also have to register as a sex offender.
Judge Bullard said in court that these cases are "more heinous when it involves a person in a position of trust."
Back in June, Collier pleaded guilty to two felony counts of lewd acts with a child and one count of oral copulation. In exchange for the guilty plea, four other felony counts were dropped.
Both the victim, identified only as Jane Doe, and Collier spoke out in court this morning during the sentencing hearing.

Society still sees men as the only truly threatening sexual predators, females offenders are just seen as a peculiar oddity. And dealt with as such :/

If the child was 16 or 17 and if the encounters were consentual, might have played a roll in sentencing.
Although she was an elementary school principal, the story does not say that it was one of her students. I doubt that it was one of her students because I don't think they would make a young child testify in court as the story said.

Man I so nailed this sentence in a previous post... wish I could be as accurate with the lottery numbers. Hey I wonder if a guy had a sex change and did this would he still get a slap on the wrist? That's an interesting question.
