This happened a few days ago in FYROM and not in Macedonia. Do not confuse geography. Macedonia is a region in North Greece and when I first read this title I confused because I did not hear about any accident like this in North Greece!

Judging by the width and height of her stern...yeah...62 passengers would severely overload that tub.

Lake Ohrid is beautiful. I remember visiting it back in the Summer of 2000. Clearest water I've ever seen in any lake before. They have an awesome little church there that dates back to when the apostle Paul visited Macedonia.

yes, it is a great place, beautiful village and lake. Except for the castle on top of the hill, near the lake. When I went into the castle with a tour guide, I saw few remnants of human bones laying around. The tour guide said to me that couple weeks before, there were much more bones laying around.

Dont know the name of the castle. The tour guide said it was one of Alexander the Great's castle. Google it online (Lake Ohrid Castle).

@Shukulan
It is the fortes of king Samuel and has nothing to do with Alexander of Macedon.It is build more than 2000 years later. King Samuel was also Macedonian king but with mixed ancient Macedonian and Slavic ancestry.

A panicking situation,lack of knowing how to swim, not having enough life jackets can result in drowning.

This is a tragic thing to have happened. It would probably have been the boat sucking down people who then inhaled and breathed in water instead of air. Perhaps some were young children not able to swim.

This happened in Baltimore a few years ago. It turns out that weight limits for boats were last set in the 1940's, when the average man weighed 140 lbs. Can you imagine a time when men weighed 140 lbs?
