High school students at a college summer camp are learning about engineering in a very unique way.
Thursday, they gathered on the roof of a library on N.C. State’s campus to drop silly putty. It’s part of their lesson on materials science and engineering.
The students want to see how materials react under strain, and they used 50-pound balls of putty to do so.
