Today a light to moderate earthquake was felt in the Red Sea area, it's epicentre between Sharm el Sheikh, Nabq Bay and Dahab. There are no reports of damage, the only thing noticed were local residents being dramatic and a few toppled pints of beer.

The effects of the earthquake were also felt in Hurghada. Reports differ between 4.5 to 5.1 on the Richter scale.
