Mourdock: Rape Pregnancies ‘Something That God Intended to Happen’

At the final debate in the Indiana Senate race, held Tuesday night,
Republican nominee Richard Mourdock explained his opposition to abortion
in the cases of rape or incest. In the course of the explanation
Mourdock suggested that rape should not be an exception to a ban on
abortion, since rape pregnancies are themselves the will of God.
"You know, this is that issue for that every candidates for federal,
or even state office, faces. And I, too, certainly stand for life," said
Mourdock, after both Democrat Joe Donnelly and Libertarian Andrew
Horning had identified as pro-life, though Donnelly also stated his
support for an exception in cases of rape. "I know there are some who
disagree, and I respect their point of view. But I believe that life
begins at conception. The only exception I have, to have an abortion, is
in that case of the life of the mother."
Mourdock then seemed to choke back tears, and continued: "I've
struggled with it myself for a long time, but I came to realize that
life is that gift from god. And even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen."

  • So, God wants women to raise the children of their rapists, whom they probably hate?

Hmm. Dear Republicans, your god is a monster, and certainly not deserving of worship.

  • Arguing pregnancy via rape is god's will and claiming religious freedom in the same sentence. What a JOKE.

This is the direct result of what happens when you let your mind be poisoned with this cancerous shit.

  • Was that a touch of duck and whine? God's plan that some chick gets raped but Obama care is a tool of the devil to bring down the church. Reagan never should have let them out of the crazy bins.

  • This guy has reached the pinnacle of the bottom (I know, it's an oxymoron). It does in fact fit this guy.

"rape pregnancies are themselves the will of God.
You know, this is that issue for that every candidates for federal,
    or even state office, faces."

So his "God" facilitates pregnancy using rape as the tool!

I can just see the next forcible rape case with the rapist using the Constitutional position that is was a religious practice therefore he can't be tired in a cou More..

  • Todd Akin, Joe Walsh and now Richard Mourdock. How the FUCK can anyone with half a brain STILL vote for a Republican party that allows these douchebags to be apart of their group?? >_>

  • Why do republicans seem to stand for everything the rest of the world deems to be immoral and dirty?

The Republican Party will not be an upgrade from the Obama administration and will cause further harm to the world and America.

    • @yourboss This guy is an example of the far right opinion. Just as there are those on the far left who believe that even if a female has a late term abortion, and the dr fails and the baby survives child birth, the baby would still be killed.

Doesn't matter what the left wing believes. Why you ask? Because they aren't RUNNING the party like they are in the GOP.
