Jesse Billauers story, the founder of the life roll on foundation. I've also included the video for the They Will Surf Again program from Cocoa Beach, FL as well as their Emmy award winning public service announcement.
Life Rolls On, a division of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, is dedicated to improving the quality of life for young people affected by spinal cord injury and utilizes action sports as a platform to inspire infinite possibilities despite paralysis.
Life Rolls On: Instilling in people that life with SCI, indeed, rolls on.
Areas of Focus
1. They Will Surf Again (TWSA) - Our flagship program, TWSA is an adaptive surfing program for those with spinal cord injury and a life-changing volunteer experience for all. It's not all about the surfing, it's about proving that anything is possible. Recently LRO has added a They Will Ski Again and They Will Skate Again program! Interesting, show me more
2. Injury Outreach and Being A Resource - Sadly, we are regularly contacted by individuals who have had family members and friends sustain a spinal cord injury. During this traumatic and overwhelming time, Life Rolls On can be a resource. LRO feels that early outreach and communication immediately post injury can have a positive and meaningful impact on all those affected by the injury. Here is an example, meet Nathan
3. Education, Motivation and Awareness - Shifting paradigms in the general public, and amongst those with spinal cord injury, that life with a spinal cord injury, does indeed "Roll On." A message of overcoming obstacles in the face of extreme adversity.
