In 1969, the Jimi Hendrix Experience is on the top of the charts, changing the sound and the face of rock music. • Through The Eyes of Tomorrow was hosted by Stephen Foster. It was a magazine show that examined the world through the eyes of young adults. Hugh Curry conducted the Jimi Hendrix Experience interview on Jan. 7, 1969 in Hendrix's apartment in London.

• On May 3, 1969, Hendrix was arrested in Toronto for possession of heroin and hashish. Hendrix claimed that the drugs were placed in his baggage by a fan. After several court appearances in December, Hendrix was acquitted of all charges.

• The Jimi Hendrix Experience played Maple Leaf Gardens on May 3, 1969. Ticket prices ranged from $2.50 to $5.50. Cat Mother and the All-Night Newsboys opened for them.

  • We want our sound to go into the soul of the audience, and see if it can awaken some little thing in their minds... Cause there are so many sleeping people. - Jimi Hendrix (Interview with Dick Cavet - 1969)

    Are you experienced?

since I was 14 and picked up the electric guitar

pissed off my parents, my sisters hated it because they coundn't talk on the phone (too loud) and the neighbors stopped waving back when I would say hello ... geez

I'm still not very good on the guitar, kinda comes and goes ...

    Anyone else?
