Three former dairy workers with Idaho’s largest dairy operation have been charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty after undercover video shot by an animal rights group showed workers stomping, dragging and beating cows inside a milking barn.
The video was shot using a hidden camera by a member of Mercy for Animals who got a job at Bettencourt Dairies’ Dry Creek Dairy in Hansen for a few weeks this summer.
It shows workers at the dairy beating cows with a pink cane as the animals slipped and slid on the wet concrete floor; workers kicking, shoving and stomping cows that have fallen between the metal bars in the milking stalls; and a cow being dragged out of the barn by a chain around her neck as she lies prone on the concrete floor.

@tacohell I also didn't mean to make it appear to be a racial thing. I could have left out the "Mexicanos" part. This incident was big news here in Idaho. That dairy employs 500 people and has over 60,000 head. It's huge. The owner is actually a big animal lover so it's kind of a shame. Supposedly he was pretty upset.

It's stupid and lame to say this is "burger king" It's a Dairy Farm, and one of their customers is burger king. No question all these psychopaths should go to jail, but I think it seriously weakens your position to try to smear an unrelated companyf or their actions.

Our so-called canine teeth are canine in name only, and are very unlike the canine teeth of actual canines, say lion's or wolf's.

You can make whatever excuses you want about this behavior, but one thing is very certain. If the dairy owner had known this video was being taken, he would have tried to prevent it.
Anyone except a sadist will instantly see that it's wrong to treat any living thing like this. If you're going to kill it, just kill it. If the animal is not cooperating with you, kicking it is not a solution... unless, perhaps, your life is in immediate peril.

You have to be completely ignorant if you think this is Burger King related. The cows pictured are Holstein cows used for milking. Milking cows are NOT used for hamburger. How much milk does BK use? @WAD I grew up on a dairy farm, when a dairy cow got old a rendering company came and hauled it away, they paid a small amount to us for it. not 100% certain what they do with them but it does not go for human consumtion. On the farm we also raised beef cattle. If you knew the difference in body structure of the two you would realize how little usable meat there is on dairy cows.

So as long as Burger King keeps it as their supplier, it endorses its practices (or fails to monitor them), and has to choose - take the publicity hit or find a better supplier.
Hopefully leading this one into bankruptcy and its workers living under the freeway and getting kicked around by the hobos while slipping on the piss-stained pavement.
