Syria - Situation in Aleppo right now
now
The regime has made some progress inside Aleppo, but they are at at a
very big risk of getting cut off and surrounded, if they aren't already.

It is other way around, captain, the SAA is closing the gap between Bab el Hadid and the airport (on the right). Once they close that gap, FSA in the south of Aleppo is cut from the North and has no supply route.

I hate these maps because it assumes that the rebel grip in those areas is solid and impenetrable...when in reality like most rebellions the situation is fluid - where rebels will "take" some territory, hold it and then flee.
Besides, rebel claims of territory seized are sometimes about as reliable as their reporting of their own casualties, which is to say not a lot.

Might as well be Kabul. Nobody really holds anything . The talibs can't say it's liberated
and the US NATO forces can't say it is secure.

LOL!:
This map comes from a pro FSA and is disconnected from reality.
The FSA has lost a large area in Aleppo there is not a long time and this area is indicated as still belonging to rebels...
In short it is still propaganda usual FSA. The rebels have lost anyway, another 1 or 2 months and you will hear more about them.

This card looks to me like a product of a crazy fantasy of some FSA terrorist....in parts...or biggest parts, the truth is between the two means, we will see.
What im Know is:
Hanano is correct described I think, before two weeks it was in the hands of the mercenaries and then its get conquered back from the SAA(there are also videos of that on Liveleak)
This time the SAA does operation in Shaar and thats far more east then the cards mean.
Then did the SAA found an hideout of the FSA in the in More..

The Intl. airport of Aleppo (South-East of Aleppo) still schedules flights and allegedly the road between Airport and City is safe. So the map doesn't seem to be very precise.
