This video is part of an ongoing project to build a retrospective TV archive made exclusively for the LL community on my Retro TV channel at
http://www.liveleak.com/c/Retro_TV_
This episode is aimed at a very small group of viewers on LL. All my homeboys and girls who grew up around the Boston area while watching WLVI TV 56 in Boston on small 13 inch TV's with coat hanger antennas.
This episode doesn't have any TV show themes in it, as it was long enough already. I decided to include it in the Retro TV archive just the same. It's geared toward Retro TV show bumpers, Public Service Announcements and commercials that were broadcast on WLVI TV 56. Who knows maybe some of these PSA's were broadcast in other parts of the country too, like the Star wars anti-smoking PSA.
That Robilard dude cracks me up, "candy bahs" lol wicked awesome! The announcers voice on "Creature Feature" is none other than Dale Dorman who was a very popular TV announcer and disk jockey in the Boston area. I wanted to include more of him but there was too much for one episode already, any more will have to be another episode. Paragon Park! Brought a tear to my dads eye, it did really. Enjoy!

Man, I remember all of this! Thanks for sharing this stuff. I've subbed. I can remember many a Saturday morning watching Creature Double Feature on 56.

I do have one episode of Capt Bob that I know of, my dad has hundreds of tapes. Unfortunately the Beta tape that episode is on hasn't survived time very well. I know I can't get a serviceable copy of the intro from the tape. I may be able to get it elsewhere. I'd also have to view the entire tape to see if anything else is salvageable from it. In time we'll see. This is a long term project.

Anyone notice the difference in the usual channel change effect on this one? It's supposed to be the VHF knob turning to "U" (on some sets "0") after the first Wendy's commercial. Then you get static. Then the effect for the UHF knob tuning to channel 56. The effects for the VHF, UHF knobs, on and off sounds are all from a real TV from the 70's!
