Natural gas line leaking , Firefighters on scene

Construction worker hit a natural gas line while working in a yard on Brydges
Street, across from Victoria Park , around 3:10 P.M. this afternoon. Moncton
Fire & Enbridge gas were on scene a few minutes later and blocked off the
street, keeping everyone back 10 meters, a Firefighter went to a house next door
to let people know about the leak, and a woman left with her dog right away. .
Another company arrived on scene to help employees from Enbridge get at the line
so they could pinch it off. NB Power was notified and needed at the scene just
before 4 P.M. as they were needed at the gas leak, before gas leak could be
stopped and arrived just after 4 P.M. Firefighters are still on scene and the
gas leak is under control at 4:20 P.M.
