Well I thought about this post for a few days before I decided that it was best you all had this information, than worry about the few of you who may abuse this. It was in the wild already anyway. I think the Second Amendment is fundamental in protecting our ever eroding freedoms. The links contain the down-loadable files needed to pint or mill these parts. This is all highly experimental, use at your own risk. I have not printed one myself, yet, ( I already own a Bushmaster) but even if you dont have a printer, the files would be good to save and store or host. If I error, let it be on the side of liberty and freedom.

It will make gun control sillier than it is. Being able to make your own favorite gun when you want and how many you want.
So if they try to ban guns there will ALWAYS be a way.
I just love it!

Hmm, manufacture your own gun and go to jail or buy one at the local shop legally, tough decision.

@pootin well it was up for a lot of debate on all forums, this is an area most people, even gun owners are not familiar with. i knew the anti-gun people would freak. this is where we are headed, and i want you all to get the files before they disappear....

@pootin
I would have agreed with Billn911, i would have thought it was illegal to make your own, but I would if been wrong to.:
With certain exceptions a firearm may be made by a non-licensee provided it is not for sale and the maker is not prohibited from possessing firearms. However, a person is prohibited from assembling a non-sporting semi-automatic rifle or non-sporting shotgun from imported parts. In addition, the making of an NFA firearm requires a tax payment and approval by ATF. An a More..

no it's not, it's simply for the lower stock, the rest you have to purchase

@stinkbuttdog
no it's not. it's just a lower. the rest of the gun is unaltered.
it is impossible to 3d print a functioning barrel, bolt and trigger assembly out of abs or pla plastic.

@golem yes, thats true, but the lower is the only part that ATF tracks, where the numbers are located, that is what counts as "the gun." the rest you buy in a free state like any other part.

the parts must be machined after printing. Direct laser sintered metal is not smooth enough.

I can't imagine a 3d printer could create something strong and precise enough to serve as a useful gun. At least not something that could withstand more than a couple shots without blowing up in the shooter's face.

the technology is rapidly advancing and the machines are getting smaller and cheaper, once you are able to use multi material stock then the sky is the limit, anything could be built then, this is the biggest technology game changer of the century in my opinion, many people don't realize it, imagine taking this machine to space and using martian soil to build habitats or spare parts etc..

well yes, they've been able to do that for a while, in manufacturing plants this has been common, but a smallish cheap printer say the size of a mini fridge that can create a object with different feedstocks at the same time,
