Tallest reinforced concrete structure ever imploded
SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TX (NBC) -- An implosion of an unfinished 31-story condo tower in South Padre Island is believed to be a world record.
The condo tower had been sinking unevenly during construction and could not be saved.
It is believed to be the tallest reinforced concrete structure ever imploded.
Officials say cleaning up the rubble will take four months.
